I stayed five nights in total, four before and one after the three days hike to discover the Laotian tribal villages, and I felt pampered by the staff and the surrounding peace.
I spent hours in the morning and then in the evening writing and musing while lying on my terrace overlooking the river and the mountain Phousi behind it and I was happily distracted by the monks that come down on the bank to do their laundry, to bathe and to play with the neighborhood children.
Besides the unfailing smiles and endless availability towards the guests, the guesthouse offers free transportation to and from the airport and to and from downtown, every hour in the morning and late in the afternoon. There are also bicycles available or, if you prefer to walk like I did, count about a half hour taking time to see local shops, schools and any other detail along the way.
If I’d really need to find a lack, the wifi is only available near the reception area and then only in the bungalows adjacent to it, but in that peace I really did not miss it …
Upon check-out I was given a bracelet for good luck and a raw silk stole and on my part it was just a goodbye.
Personal Note
Thanks to my previous job and often for pleasure, in the last seventeen years I spent almost more time in hotels than at home. Here are those I consider special places not to be missed. Those I truly hope to come back to again and again…

These are just places where I stayed and that I loved and feel like have to be recommended to everybody.
